Events

Public events are the easiest way to meet the space. Talks, workshops, project nights, film nights, open evenings, and strange experiments all happen here.

Public Calendar

Not every internal booking is public, but this is the main calendar for public-facing events.

How To Attend

  • Check the calendar and the public channel.
  • Arrive during the announced time window, not hours early or far after the host has gone.
  • Follow the host's format, room use, and safety instructions.
  • Ask before using tools, moving projects, or taking photos.
  • If you want a first-time tour, say so when you arrive.

Typical Event Types

  • talks and lectures
  • reading groups and study sessions
  • project demos and build nights
  • workshops
  • film nights and social formats
  • open evenings and community hangouts

How To Propose An Event

  1. If you are a member, you can lead the event, but you still need a resident space host.
  2. Find a resident space host.
  3. Describe the format, timing, expected attendance, room needs, and anything unusual.
  4. Prepare a short announcement and image.
  5. Give people time to notice conflicts before public posting.
  6. Add the event to the public calendar and publish it in the channel.

In practice, ordinary events should be visible at least a day ahead, and a few days is better. Bigger or stranger ideas should use more lead time.

Host Checklist

  • Be in the space early enough to check that it is usable.
  • Stay present or hand hosting over explicitly.
  • Tell people about any photo/video/streaming plans.
  • Point out unusual hazards.
  • Clean up and leave the space workable afterward.

Money, Recording, And Weird Cases

  • F0 is not a commercial venue. If money is involved, clear it with the resident space host first.
  • Donation asks or materials fees should be described plainly.
  • Recording and streaming should be announced in advance and repeated at the start.
  • If your event needs special access, chemicals, unusual noise, or exclusive use of a room, say that early.
